When an accident, loss or unexpected event occurs, contact Momentum Insurance Brokers as soon as reasonably possible. Our team will guide you through the claims process, explain what information is required and communicate with the insurer on your behalf.
For urgent situations, always prioritise safety. Contact the appropriate emergency service and take reasonable steps to prevent further injury, loss or property damage. Momentum’s general claims procedure also advises clients to report incidents promptly, complete the relevant documentation and avoid admitting liability.

What to do after an accident?
1. Make the Situation Safe
Call emergency services where required and take reasonable steps to prevent further injury or damage. Only act where it is safe to do so.
2. Record the Details
Take photographs, note the date, time and location, and collect the contact details of any other parties and witnesses.
3. Do Not Admit Liability
Do not accept fault, negotiate with another party or make promises regarding payment. Forward any demands, correspondence or legal documents to Momentum Insurance Brokers promptly. This is particularly important for liability and motor claims.
4. Contact Momentum
Notify our team as soon as possible so we can confirm which form applies and guide you through the next steps.
5. Complete the Relevant Form
Download and complete the appropriate claim form below. Include supporting documents such as photographs, quotations, invoices, receipts, police report details and witness information where available.
